Sens. Cayetano, Poe: Vaccination card napakahalaga sa pagpapasigla ng ekonomiya

Ngayon nagsusumikap ang gobyerno na mapasigla ang ekonomiya ng bansa sa gitna ng pandemya, sinabi ni Senator Pia Cayetano na napakahalaga ng pagkakaroon ng vaccination passport program.

Pinamunuan ni Cayetano ang pagdinig ng Committee on Finance sa Senate Bill 2381 o ang Vaccination Passport Program alinsunod sa pagtugon ng gobyerno sa krisis pangkalusugan.

Sa pagdinig, binanggit ng senadora na maraming bansa na ang nagpatupad ng programa ukol sa kanilang vaccine card/certificate o passport para sa ligtas na pagbiyahe ng kanilang mamamayan.

“Vaccine passports are being used as a way to open up the economy. So our intention really here is to not have to choose between health and economy. We want to make use of the technology and our resources to open up the economy in the safest way possible,” sabi pa nito.

Samantala, ipinunto din sa pagdinig ni Senator Grace Poe na magkaka-iba ang vaccine card / passport ng mga lokal na pamahalaan at wala din aniya batas ukol sa layon at paggamit nito.

Paglilinaw lang niya hindi pinipilit ang mamamayan na magpaturok ng COVID 19 vaccine sa isyu ng vaccination passport program.

“By expanding the objectives of the vaccine card, we hope to be able to put the right balance to public health and economy amid the pandemic,” paglilinaw ni Poe.
