Apat na kilo ng ngipin ng pating, nasamsam sa Cebu
Nasabat ng Bureau of Customs Cebu-Subport of Mactan ang isang shipment na naglalaman ng 4.98 na kilo ng ngipin ng pating noong August 31.
Unang idineklara ang shipment na naglalaman ng ‘Plastic Components for Fashion Accessories’.
Kahina-hinala ang lumabas na x-ray image results sa shipment kung kaya’t nagsagawa ng physical examination.
Kinumpirma ng representante ng BFAR na naglalaman ang parcel ng ngipin ng pating at hindi Plastic Components.
Base sa record, walang inilabas na Import Permit ang BFAR para sa importation nito.
Matapos makita ang probable cause dahil sa paglabag sa Section 1113 (F), (I), at (L-3,4,&5) na may kinalaman sa Sections 117 at 1400 ng Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA), agad naglabas ng Warrant of Seizure and Detention laban sa shipment.
