67 distressed overseas Filipinos mula sa Cambodia, nakauwi na ng bansa

Na-repatriate na ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) ang 67 distressed overseas Filipinos mula sa Cambodia sa pamamagitan ng sweeper flight.

Katuwang ng kagawaran sa repatriation sa tulong din ng Office of Migrant Workers’ Affairs at Philippine Embassy sa Cambodia.

Kasama sa mga nakauwi ng bansa ang dalawang menor de edad, 12 senior citizens, at isang buntis.

Ilan sa mga repatriate ay nawalan ng trabaho bunsod ng COVID-19 pandemic at mayroon ding stranded sa Cambodia.

Nagpasalamat ang mga repatriate sa gobyerno ng Pilipinas at sa embahada dahil sa inorganisang flight, welfare assistance, at pagtulong sa kanila na makauwi sa kani-kanilang pamilya at mahal sa buhay.

Simula nang magkaroon ng pandemya, umabot na sa 1,037 distressed overseas Filipinos ang na-repatriate ng Philippine Embassy sa Cambodia.
