Bayanihan flight: 338 ‘stranded’ Filipinos sa Dubai nakabalik ng bansa

Sa pamamagitan ng tinatawag na ‘Bayanihan flight,’ naiuwi ng Pilipinas ng Cebu Pacific ang 338 Filipino mula sa Dubai, United Arab Emirates kasabay ng pag-iral ng ‘travel ban.’

Ang pagpapauwi sa OFWs ay alinsunod sa repatriation program ng gobyerno.

Kinakailangan lang na sumunod ang umuwing OFWs sa protocols gaya ng negatibong resulta at 15 araw na quarantine sa isang accredited facility, na libre ng Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) para sa land-based OFWs, samantalang ang Philippine Port Authority (PPA) naman ang sasagot ng sea-based OFWs.

Ang returning overseas Filipinos naman ang magbabayad ng kanilang mga gastusin.

Ito na ang pang-anim na Bayanihan flight na ikinasa ng CebuPac sa pakikipag-usap sa gobyerno at sa Sabado, Setyembre 4, ay may special flight muli.

“We are happy to continue safely bringing home our fellow Filipinos while the travel restrictions are still in effect. We look forward to serving more kababayans on our Bayanihan flights this month,” sabi ni Alex Reyes, ang Chief Strategy Officer ng Cebu Pacific.
