Dumoble ang bilang ng mga election related violence incidents mag-iisang linggo bago ang halalan ayon sa Philippine National Police.
Sa isang press conference sa PNP headquarters sa Camp Crame, Quezon City, sinabi ni PNP Chief Supt. Wilben Mayor na nasa 104 ang naireport sa pulisya mula January 10 hanggang April 26, labing-apat dito ay kumpirmadong election related.
Nauna na dito ngayong buwan, umabot sa 65 suspected incidents ang naireport sa PNP kung saan anim lang dito ang napag-alamang election related.
Tatlo sa kumpirmadong election related incidents ay mula sa Region 2, tatlo din ang galing sa Region 7, tig-dalawa ang mula naman sa Regions 4A at 10 at tig-iisa sa Regions 3, 5, 9 at Cordillera region.
Karamihan sa mga naitalang election related incidents o 69 sa mga ito ay barilan at limang stabbing incidents. Tatlo naman sa 104 na insidente ay pagpapasabog habang dalawa naman dito ay pagbabanta at pananambang.
