Sen. Lacson, naalarma sa pag-amin ng PNP sa ‘data-gathering activities’

Nakakaalarma, ayon kay Senator Panfilo Lacson, ang pag-amin ni Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Guillermo Eleazar na may ginagawang ‘data gathering activities’ ang pulisya sa mga kanayunan.

Diin ni Lacson, sa kanyang pagkaka-alam ay nagpapatuloy hanggang ngayon ang naturang aktibidad.

Sinabi ni Lacson, bilang dating hepe ng pambansang pulisya, hindi siya makakapayag na magamit sa pulitika ang mga pulis gamit pa ang pondo ng gobyerno.

Unang ibinunyag ng senador ang ginagawang ‘census activities’ ng PNP gamit ang pondo mula sa National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC).

Sa natanggap na impormasyon ni Lacson, si Police Maj. Gen. Rodel Sermonia, ang director ng PNP – Directorate for Police Community Relations, ang nangangalap ng mga impormasyon.

Dagdag pa niya, si Sermonia rin ang binatikos ni Foreign Affairs Sec. Teodoro Locsin Jr. na nangampaniya noong 2019 elections gamit ang mga embahada ng Pilipinas.

“The same misguided PNP officer that SFA Locsin ‘lambasted’ for raising funds and campaigning in the 2019 midterm elections while using the resources of several of our country’s embassies around the globe. He has since been promoted to his present rank,” sabi pa ni Lacson.
