Dagdag na hospital beds sa Lung Center para sa COVID-19 cases, inihahanda na

Naghahanda na ang Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) para mai-turnover ang karagdagang hospital facilities para sa mga pasyente, lalo na ang mga napaulat na apektado ng Delta variant ng COVID-19.

Ayon kay DPWH Secretary at Chief Isolation Czar Mark Villar, magiging available ang dagdag na hospital beds kasabay ng konstruksyon ng modular health facilities upang ma-accommodate ang posibleng pagtaas ng kaso ng nakakahawang sakit.

Sa ulat sa kalihim, sinabi ni Undersecretary Emil Sadain, pinuno ng DPWH Task Force to Facilitate Augmentation of Health Facilities, na tatlong cluster units ng off-site hospital facility ang inihanda sa Lung Center of the Philippines (LCP) compound.

Nakatakda aniya itong makumpleto sa August 9.

Bawat modular hospital units sa LCP sa bahagi ng Quezon Avenue, Quezon City ay may 66 beds.

Malapit na rin matapos ang konstruksyon ng dagdag na dalawang cluster units na may 44 rooms, isa rito ay itatalaga sa intensive care unit (ICU) facility para sa mga pasyente na kailangan ng mas mataas na lebel ng medical monitoring at complex treatment.

Mayroon ding itatayong 16-room off-site dormitory na may toilet and bath, at double decker beds para sa 32 katao.
