Navy at Army ng Pilipinas, lalahok sa Asean counter-terror drills
Makikilahok ang Pilipinas sa gaganaping security and counter-terrorism drills sa Asean Defense Ministers’ Meeting sa susunod na buwan. Isasagawa ang pagpupulong at security drills sa Brunei at Singapore sa May 1 hanggang 12 ng taong ito.
Ayon kay Lt. Commander Marineth Domingo, tagapagsalita ng Philippine Navy, sila ang kalatawan sa maritime security drills samantalang ang Army naman ang lalahok sa counterterrorism, land storming at ground operations.
Makikibahagi din sa ehersisyo ang BRP Gregorio Del Pilar kasabay ng n ng iba pang bansang kasapi ng Association of Southeast Asian Nations.
Bukod dito, sasali rin ang BRP Gregorio Del Pilar sa isa pang maritime training activity na gagawin naman sa May 10 hanggang 17.
