DSWD task group, naghahanda na para sa Taal Volcano response
Inihahanda na ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) ang kanilang Task Group Taal upang umasiste sa mga local government unit (LGU) na apektado ng pag-aalburoto ng Bulkang Taal.
Ayon kay DSWD Disaster Response Management Group Undersecretary Felicisimo Budiongan, tututok ang task group sa preparasyon ng mga food at non-food items.
Maliban dito, magiging responsable rin ang task group sa deployment ng Quick Response Teams para mag-asiste sa pagresponse ng DSWD Field Office IV-CALABARZON at iba pang LGU.
Noong July 5, nakapag-deploy na ang kagawaran ng karagdagang 3,000 hygiene kits, 5,000 sleeping kits, 5,000 family kits at 5,000 Family Food Packs (FFPs) sa Batangas Sports Complex, habang 2,000 hygiene kits naman ang naipadala sa Canyon Woods sa Laurel, Batangas.
Hinikayat naman ng DSWD ang mga residente na manatiling mapagmatyag at sumunod sa mga babala ng LGU upang maiwasan ang anumang hindi inaasahang pangyayari.
