PAGASA: Bagyong Emong posibleng tumama sa Batanes – Babuyan Island
Posible ngayon hapon o mamayang gabi ay tumama sa kalupaan ang bagyong Emong, ayon sa PAGASA.
Sa inilabas na 8am bulletin ng PAGASA, inaasahan na patuloy na tatahakin ng bagyo ang direksyon na hilaga-kanluran habang papalit ng extreme Northern Luzon – Taiwan area.
“On the forecast track, the center of the tropical depression will pass close or make landfall in the vicinity of the Batanes-Babuyan Islands area this afternoon or tonight,” nakasaad sa weather bulletin.
Huling namataan ang sentro ng bagyo sa layong 285 kilometro silangan-hilagang silangan ng Tuguegarao City at kumikilos sa bilis na 40 kilometro bawat oras.
May taglay itong lakas ng hangin mula sa sentro na 55 kilometers per hour at bugso na umaabot sa 70 kilometers per hour.
Nakataas na ang Tropical Cycle Wind Signal No. 1 sa Batanes, sa mga bayan ng Sta. Ana at Gonzaga sa Cagayan gayundin sa Babuyan Islands at inaasahan ito na magdudulot ng malakas na pag-ulan.
Posible, ayon sa PAGASA, na bukas ng umaga ay lalabas na ito ng Philippine area of responsibility.
