P12.4 milyong pondo inilaan ng pamahalaan para sa mga residenteng apektado ng pag-aalburuto ng Bulkang Taal

Mahigpit na mino-monitor ng Palasyo ng Malakanyang ang sitwasyon sa pag-aalburuto ng Bulkang Taal.
Ito ay matapos itaas ng Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) sa Alert Level 3 ang Bulkang Taal dahil sa phreatomagmatic bursts.
Ayon kay Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque, aabot sa P12.4 milyong halaga ng ayuda ang nakaantabay na para ipamahagi sa mga apektadong residente sa Laurel at Agoncillo at iba pang kalapit na munisipalidad sa Batangas.
Sa naturang halaga, P1.4 milyong halaga ang nakalaan para sa food packs habang P11 milyon naman ang para sa non-food items.
Naka-heightened alert status na rin aniya ang Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Region 4-A.
Ayon kay Roque, activiated na ngayon ang Joint Task Force Taal ng Armed Forces of the Philippines Southern Luzon Command para tulungan ang operasyon ng Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council at iba pang local government units.
Nakaalerto na rin aniya ang Philippine National Police sa sa Region 4a (CALABARZON) at nakikipag-ugnayan na sa mga residente.
Nag-deploy na rin ng mga sasakyan at tauhan ang Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Logistics Systems Command para alalayan ang PCG District Southern Tagalog sa pagsasagawa ng humanitarian assistance at disaster relief operations.
Ayon kay Roque, umaapela ang Palasyo sa mga residente na maging alerto at mag-ingat.
“We ask residents in the areas surrounding the volcano lake to remain vigilant, take precautionary measures, cooperate with their local authorities should the need for evacuation arise,” pahayag ni Roque.
