Simula sa June 5, isasailalim sa Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine ang Davao City.
Ayon kay Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque, tatagal ang MECQ hanggang sa June 20, 2021.
“The Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on Thursday, June 3, 2021, approved to place Davao City under Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine beginning June 5 until June 20, 2021,” pahayag ni Roque.
Una rito, umapela si Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte sa IATF na isailalim sa MECQ ang siyudad dahil sa tumataas na kaso ng COVID-19.
Noong May 31, 2021, nakapagtala ang Davao City ng 1,665 na active cases ng COVID-19.
Samantala, inaprubahan din ng IATF na isailalim sa General Community Quarantine status ang General Santos City simula June 5 hanggang June 30, 2021.
