Gusto ni Mayor Isko Moreno na wala ng face shield, hindi pa uubra – DOH, DILG
Hindi kinagat ng Department of Health (DOH) at Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) ang katuwiran ni Manila Mayor Isko Moreno na sa Pilipinas na lang kinakailangan magsuot ng face shield bilang proteksyon sa COVID 19.
Sinabi ni Health Sec. Francisco Duque III maaring umubra na ang nais ni Moreno kung marami na sa populasyon ng bansa ang nabakunahan.
Aniya sa ngayon ay mababa pa ang bilang ng mga naturukan na ng second dose dahil sa kakulangan ng suplay ng bakuna kayat hindi pa aalisin ang face shield policy.
“Also there are many scientific studies showing that face shields in combination with face masks and more than one meter social distancing provide a greater than 95% protection,” dagdag pa ng kalihim.
Samanatla, ayon naman kay DILG spokesman Jonathan Malaya hindi pa panahon para maari nang hindi magsuot ng face shield dahil nagpapatuloy pa rin ang pandemya.
“Wala pa tayo sa lebel na tinatawag sa herd protection o public protection na makukuha kapag umabot sa 50 million na vaccinations,” katuwiran pa ni Malaya.
