Panukalang pagpapataw ng buwis sa POGO at pagbuo ng Dept. of Migrant Workers and Overseas Filipino, sinertipikahang urgent ni Pangulong Duterte
Sinertipikahang urgent ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang dalawang panukalang batas, ayon sa Palasyo ng Malakanyang.
Kinumpirma ni Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque na sinertipikahang urgent ang Senate Bill No. 2232 o “An Act Taxing Philippine Offshore Gaming Operations, Amending for the Purpose Sections 22, 25, 27, 28 and Adding a New Section 125-A of the National Internal Revenue Code of 1997, As Amended, and For Other Purposes.”
Umaasa aniya ang Palasyo na sa pamamagitan nito, maliban sa malilikom na kita sa bansa, maisasailalim ang naturang industriya sa mas istriktong government oversight.
Maliban dito, sinertipikahan ding urgent ang Senate Bill No. 2234 o “An Act Creating the Department of Migrant Workers and Overseas Filipinos.”
Ani Roque, layon nitong makapaghatid ng mas epektibo at “whole-of-government approach” para protektahan ang karapatan at kapakanan ng overseas Filipinos.
