Itinaas sa red alert status ng National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) ang Luzon Grid, araw ng Lunes (May 31).
Ito ay bunsod ng manipis na reserba ng kuryente sa Luzon.
Sa abiso ng NGCP, umiral ang red alert simula 1:00 hanggang 3:00 ng hapon.
Bunsod nito, ilang lugar sa Metro Manila, Laguna at Rizal ang nakaranas ng rotational power interruption.
Nauna namang pinairal ang yellow alert bandang 11:00 ng umaga hanggang 2:00 ng hapon at muling iiral bandang 4:00 hanggang 5:00 ng hapon.
Mayroong available capacity ng kuryente sa Luzon na 11,729MW habang aabot naman sa 11,514MW ang peak demand.
