Sen. Manny Pacquiao sumulat kay US President Biden para sa Moderna vaccines
Sa kagustuhan na mapadali ang pagdating sa bansa ng Moderna vaccines, sumulat na kay US President Joe Biden si Senator Manny Pacquiao.
Sa sulat na may petsang Abril 10, inilahad ni Pacquiao ang hirap na sitwasyon ng sistemang pangkalusugan sa bansa dahil sa pagtaas ng mga bilang ng mga pasyente ng COVID-19.
Nagpatulong siya kay Biden para mapadali ang pagdating sa Pilipinas ng biniling 20 million doses ng Moderna vaccines.
“On behalf of all Filipinos and the Filipino-American community, I humbly ask for the generous help of your government to intervene for the early delivery of the Moderna vaccines,” ang bahagi ng sulat kay Biden.
Sinabi din ng senador sa sulat na maraming buhay ng mga Filipino ang maliligtas kung kahit noong nakaraang buwan ay dumating dapat sa bansa ang 10 million doses.
Nabatid na malaking bahagi ng inilaan na Moderna vaccines sa Pilipinas ay binayaran ng pribadong sector.
Ipinadaan ang sulat kay John Law, charge d’ affaires of the US embassy sa Maynila at sinabi ni Pacquiao na alam din ito ni Philippine Ambassador to US Jose Manuel Romualdez.
