Pagsulputan ng mga community pantry pinuri ni Sen. Leila de Lima
Pinapurihan ni Senator Leila de Lima ang sinimulan na Maginhawa Community Pantry sa Quezon City dahil marami na ang gumaya sa ibat-ibang lugar.
“The setup of a community pantry of essential goods in Maginhawa, Quezon City is truly commendable as it created a ripple effect that inspired citizens from different parts of the country to come to the aid of those struggling to feed their families amid the pandemic,” sabi ng namumuno sa Senate Committee on Social Justice, Welfare and Rural Development.
Aniya sa pagtutulungan ng mamamayan kahit magkakaiba ang kanilang kinalalagyan sa lipunan ay naging mabilis ang pagtugon sa isyu ng pagkalam ng sikmura.
“Saludo po tayo sa mga kababayan nating nagkukusang-loob na tumulong. As we see strangers helping strangers during these hard times, we are reminded that Filipinos’ Bayanihan spirit is very-much alive and that a simple act of kindness goes a long way,” dagdag pa nito.
Binuksan ni Patreng Non ang Maginhawa Community Pantry noong Abril 14 sa pamamagitan ng mga biniling gulay at ilang pangunahing pangangailangan gaya ng alcohol, face masks, delata, at bigas.
At ang kanyang bilin’ “Magbigay ayon sa kakayahan, kumuha batay sa pangangailangan.”
