‘Command responsibility’ dapat i-apply sa ‘curfew violator death’ – Sen. Poe

Walang lugar ang karahasan ngayong panahon ng pandemya.

Ito ang sinabi ni Sen. Grace Poe sa kanyang pagtuligsa sa pagkakamatay ng 26-anyos na curfew violator sa Calamba City matapos umanong saktan ng dalawang barangay tanod.

Ayon sa senadora labis na ang paghihirap ng mga ordinaryong Filipino dahil sa pandemya at hindi na dapat ito sabayan pa ng karahasan at kalupitan ng mga nasa posisyon o may kapangyarihan.

“How can they afford to torture to death their already helpless constituent amid the hunger, poverty and hopelessness gripping our communities?” pahayag ni Poe.

Dapat din aniya na papanagutin ang namumuno sa dalawang barangay tanod base sa ‘principle of command responsibility.’

Inanunsiyo ng PNP na ang dalawang suspek ay sasampahan ng kasong homicide.

Noong Martes ay inilibing na si Ernanie Jimenez sa Guinyangan, Quezon. Naulila niya ang isang limang-buwang gulang na anak na babae.
