Coverage standards ng PhilHealth, ipinaayos

Iginiit ni House Ways and Means Committee chairman Joey Salceda sa PhilHealth na gawing makatwiran ang standards nito ng coverage.

Dismayado ang kongresista sa mga ulat na hindi sinasagot ng PhilHealth ang gastos sa triage care kabilang ang mga pasyenteng nasa tents sa mga ospital.

Tahasang sinabi ni Salceda na common sense na extensions ng mga ospital ang tents dahil hindi pa kayang i-accommodate ang pasyente.

Pero nasa gusali man o sa tent, inaasikaso at inaalagaan ang mga pasyente kaya mayroon silang hospital bill.

Reaksyon ito ng mambabatas sa pahayag ni PhilHealth Acting SVP Neri Santiago na hindi covered ng PhilHealth ang bills mula sa hospital-built tents dahil sa kawalan ng standards para sa ganitong procedures.

Binigyang diin nito na dapat proactive ang PhilHealth dahil alam naman nilang maglalagay ng extension ang mga ospital dahil sa overutilization.
