12 turista huli sa Zambales mountain trekking; Isa, COVID-19 positive

Dahil sa paglabag sa health protocols at mga lokal na ordinansa, inaresto ang 12 turista sa Palauig, Zambales.

Sinabi ni Central Luzon police director, Brig. Gen. Valeriano de Leon, ang pag-aresto ay nangyari noong nakaraang araw ng Linggo.

Sa ulat, nagpapatrulya ang mga lokal na pulisya nang pagsabihan ng isang residente ukol sa isang grupo na pagala-gala sa Mount Tapulao.

Nang mahanap, nadiskubre na ang 12 ay mountain trekkers at dumayo sa lugar sakay ng isang Nissan Grandia (NDJ 4607) at pawang walang naipakitang health clearances.

Agad isinailalim sa swab test ang 12 at nadiskubre na isa sa kanila ay positibo sa COVID-19 kayat agad silang inilagay sa quarantine.

“Time and again, I appeal to the public to stay at home if there is no need to go outside. Your police are duty bound to enforce the law and we will not hesitate to arrest those who break the law,” ang paalala ni de Leon.
