Implementing Rules ng COVID-19 Vaccination Program Law, dapat nang tapusin ng pamahalaan

Iginiit ni House Economic Stimulus and Recovery Cluster Co-chair at Albay Rep. Joey Salceda sa Department of Health (DOH), National Task Force (NTF) at Government Procurement Policy Board (GPPB) na kailangan nang tapusin ang implementing rules and regulations (IRR) ng Republic Act No. 11525 o ang COVID-19 Vaccination Program Act.

Ayon kay Salceda, dapat gawing simple at makatwiran ang procurement rules at hindi ito dapat mahaluan ng anumang “unnecessary restrictions”.

Kailangan aniyang mapabilis ang pagtulong ng private sector sa pamahalaan para sa vaccination program.

Giit ni Salceda, sa bawat araw na hindi pa nailalabas ang rules sa vaccine procurement ng mga private sector ay mas lalong nawawalan ng panahon para mapigilan ang pagkalat ng impeksyon.

Hindi na aniya dapat pinapatagal ang IRR at dapat ngang nakahanda na ito bago pa man sana naaprubahan ang batas.

Sinabi pa ni Salceda na hindi na kakayanin ng “circuit-breaker measures” at ng panibagong restrictions ang napakataas na kaso ng COVID-19.
