DOTr inilagay sa full alert para sa mahigpit na quarantine restrictions

Nakalagay na sa full alert status ang lahat ng ahensya sa ilalim ng Department  of Transportation (DOTr) para sa mahigpit na pagpapatupad ng umiiral na quarantine restrictions sa tinaguriang NCR plus. Sa isang virtual press briefing sinabi ni DOTr Undersecretary for Administrative Services Artemio Tuazon Jr., hindi naman ipinagbabawal ang  essential road, railway, air, at sea travels pero ipatutupad ang mas mahigpit na  health and safety protocols. Tanging mga authorized persons outside of residences (APORs) aniya ang papayagang makabiyahe mula at papasok ng “NCR Plus.” Mahigpit din aniya ang kanilang pagpapatupad ng tinaguriang “7 Commandments in Public Transportation” kabilang ang pagsusuot ng  facemasks at face shields; pagbabawal sa pakikipag-usap kasama ang pagtawag o pagtanggap ng tawag sa telepono sa loob ng mga pampublikong sasakyan; pagbabawal sa pagkain sa loob ng mga public vehicles; pagkakaroon ng ventilation sa mga PUVs; pagsasagawa ng disinfection; hindi pagsasakay ng mga pasahero na may sintomas ng  COVID-19 ; at ang pagkakaroon ng physical distancing. Sinabi naman ni  Assistant Secretary for Road Transport and Infrastructure Mark Steven Pastor, nagpatupad sila ng mga measures upang matiyak ang ligtas na pagbiyahe tulad ng mga  vital infrastructure projects at ang  contactless payment in public utility vehicles (PUVs). Kabilang sa NCR plus ang National Capital Region, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, at Rizal na inilagay sa  General Community Quarantine mula March 22  hanggang April 4 dahil sa patuloy na paglobo ng  COVID-19 cases.
