Diplomatic protest ikinasa kontra China dahil sa higit 200 Chinese vessels sa Ph territory

Panibagong diplomatic protest ang inihan ng Pilipinas laban sa China dahil sa 220 Chinese militia vessels na nasa Julian Felipe Reef (Whitsun Reef) sa West Philippine Sea.

Ayon kay Foreign Affairs Sec. Teodoro Locsin Jr., ginawa niya ang hakbang matapos mabigyan ng ‘go signal’ ni National Security Adviser Hermogenes Esperon, na siyang namumuno din sa National Task Force for the West Philippine Sea.

Diin ni Locsin ang Julian Felipe Reef ay nasa loob ng exclusive economic zone  (EEZ) ng Pilipinas.

Bago ito, inakusahan ni Defense Sec. Delfin Lorenzana ang China nang panghihimasok muli sa ating teritoryo.

“We call on the Chinese to stop this incursion and immediately recall these boats violating our maritime rights and encroaching into our sovereign territory,” sabi ni Lorenzana.

Sabi pa nito nakakabahala ang hakbang ng China dahil maaring humantong ito sa militarisasyon ng naturang bahagi ng West Philippine Sea.

Nagpadala na ang AFP ng kanilang sea at air assets para kumpirmahin ang higit 200 Chinese vessels sa Julian Felipe Reef.
