Paggamit ng 525,600 doses ng AstraZeneca sa mga health workers, aprubado ni Pangulong Duterte
Inaprubahan na ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang rekomendasyon na gamitin ang lahat ng available na AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines na nasa bansa.
Ayon kay Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque, pinagagamit ang mga naturang bakuna sa mga healthcare workers dahil sa patuloy na pagtaas ng kaso ng COVID-19 sa bansa.
Aabot sa 525,600 doses ng AstraZeneca vaccines ang idinonate ng World Health Organization-led COVAX facility sa Pilipinas..
“Kakapasok lang po ng balita. Nag-isyu po ng memorandum ang ating Executive Secretary. And, I will quote: “Please be informed that the President has approved the request to utilize all on-hand COVAX donated AstraZeneca vaccine doses as first dose vaccination in order to protect a larger number of frontline healthcare workers in areas witnessing increased transmission,” pahayag ni Roque.
“So, naaprubahan na po ng ating Presidente yung paggamit ng lahat po ng 525,000 AstraZeneca na nakuha po natin, donasyon galing sa COVAX facility, para gamitin po bilang first dose para sa ating mga frontline workers,” dagdag ng kalihim.
