Konstruksyon ng river wall sa Sta. Marcela, Apayao tapos na

Nakumpleto na ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) ang konstruskyon ng river wall sa Apayao River.

Makatutulong ito upang maiwasan ang pagbaha sa Barangay Barocboc sa munisipalidad ng Marcela.

Ayon kay DPWH Secretary Mark Villar, bahagi ng flood mitigation structure ang paglalagay ng 10,296 linear-meter steel sheet piles, konstruskyon ng 844.2 cubic-meter concrete slope protection, at 1,300 pirasong hexapods.

“We are doing our best to extend our help, most especially to residents living in low-lying areas, doing projects to save lives and properties,” pahayag ng kalihim.

Ilang engineering interventions ang in-apply ng kagawaran para mabawasan ang nararanasang erosion, scouring at pagbaha sa nasabing bayan at mga karatig-lugar.
