Higit 2,000 military health workers, nabakunahan na

Mahigit 2,000 military healthcare workers na ang nabigyan ng bakuna laban sa COVID-19.

Sa datos ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) hanggang March 4, nasa kabuuang 2,290 military healthcare workers ang nabakunahan na simula nang ikasa ang vaccination drive noong March 1.

Sa nasabing bilang, 598 personnel ang naturukan ng COVID-19 vaccine sa Victoriano Luna Medical Center (VLMC), 583 sa Camp Aguinaldo Station Hospital (CGEASH), 349 sa Manila Naval Hospital (PNMNH), 566 sa Army General Hospital (PAGH), at 194 sa Air Force General Hospital (PAFGH).

“I am confident that our frontline personnel will make good use of this opportunity to confidently and safely dispense their duties as we collectively seek an end to this pandemic,” pahayag ni AFP Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Cirilito Sobejana.

Magsasagawa rin ang AFP ng Troop Information and Education (TI&E) sa kada kampo upang tugunan ang mga isyu at katanungan ng mga sundalong nabakunahan.

Nagpasalamat si Sobejana sa national government dahil kabilang ang health workers sa kanilang hanay sa mga unang nakatanggap ng COVID-19 vaccine.

Makatutulong ito sa military frontliners upang maipagpatuloy ang tungkuling magserbisyo sa mga mamamayang Filipino.

Hinikayat naman nito ang mga military personnel na makiisa sa vaccination program laban sa nakakahawang sakit.

“The vaccination program will be our shield that shall aid us in protecting and preserving Filipino lives against the pandemic,” ani Sobejana.
