NBI bumuo ng composite team na mag-iimbestiga sa PNP-PDEA encounter
Bumuo na ang Department of Justice ng isang composite team na mag-iimbestiga sa barilan sa pagitan ng mga tauhan ng Philippine National Police at Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency sa Commonwealth Avenue, Quezon City.
Ayon kay Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra, ito ay pamumunuan ni Deputy Director Antonio Pagatpat.
Umaapela rin si Guevarra sa Philippine National Police at Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency na makipagtulungan at ibigay ang buong suporta sa imbestigasyon ng National Bureau of Investigation.
“I requested that both the PDEA and the PNP be directed to extend their full cooperation to the NBI. The NBI has formed a composite team led by Deputy Director Antonio Pagatpat, assisted by agents from the investigation, intelligence, and forensic divisions of the NBI,” pahayag ni Guevarra.
Ipinatawag ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa Malakanyang si Guevarra kasama sina PNP Chief Debold Sinas at PDEA Chief Wilkins Villanueva.
“He (President Duterte) reiterated his order to the NBI to assume the sole responsibility of conducting an independent and impartial probe,” pahayag ni Guevarra.
