DFA, itinaas ang Alert Level 2 sa Myanmar

Itinaas ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) ang Alert Level 2 sa Myanmar.

Kasunod ito ng nagpapatuloy na kritikal na sitwasyon sa naturang bansa.

Ayon sa kagawaran, nagsisilbi itong precautionary measure upang matiyak ang kaligtasan ng nananatiling 1,273 na Filipino sa Myanmar.

“Under Alert Level 2, overseas Filipinos in Myanmar are strongly urged to restrict their non-essential movements, avoid places of protest and prepare for evacuation,” saad ng DFA.

Tanging ang returning workers na may kontrata ang pinapayagang makabiyahe sa Myanmar.

Inabisuhan namam ng kagawaran ang mga Filipino sa nasabing bansa na maging mapagmatyag at tutukan ang sitwasyon sa pamamagitan ng mga pinagkakatiwalaang source.

Sinabi rin ng DFA na umiwas sa mga lugar kung saan nagsasagawa ng protesta at makipag-ugnayqn sa Philippine Embassy sa Yangon para sa karagdagang abiso.
