Hiling na oral arguments para sa K-12, ibinasura ng SC
Ibinasura ng Korte Suprema ang hiling ng mga magulang, guro at estudyante ng Manila Science High School na magkaroon ng oral argument at mapag-usapan sa mga korte ang merito ng kanilang petisyon na kumukwestyon sa constitutionality ng pagpapatupad ng K-12 sa bansa.
Sa kanilang summer session sa Baguio CIty, nagkasundo ang mga mahistrado ng Supreme Court na ipag-utos na lamang sa mga partido ang kani-kanilang Memoranda sa loob ng 20 araw.
Nitong nakaraang buwan lamang, ibinasura rin ng Korte Suprema ang mga petisyon na suspendehin ang implementasyon ng K-12 program.
Kabilang sa mga una nang nag-petisyon ay ang mga grupong Teachers and Staff of Colleges and Universities of the Philippines (CoTeSCUP), Sentro ng mga Nagkakaisang Progresibong mga Manggagawa (SENTRO), Federation of Free Workers (FFW) at National Confederation of Labor (NCL).
Ang mga respondents naman sa mga petisyon ay ang Department of Education (DepEd), Commission on Higher Education (CHEd), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), pati na ang Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
