25 live reptiles, nasabat ng BOC

Aabot sa 25 na live reptiles ang nasabat ng Bureau of Customs sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport.

Ayon sa ulat ng BOC, nagkakahalaga ang live reptiles ng P300,000 at dadalhin sana patungo sa Taiwan.

Kabilang sa mga nasabat ang dalawang venomous spitting cobras, walong pit vipers at 15 sailfin lizards.

Nakadeklara ang package bilang ‘souvenir items’ sa isang Adrian Lim sa Pasig City at naka-consign sa isang Ryan Su sa Taiwan.

Agad namang nai-turn over sa Department of Environment and Natural resources ang live reptiles.

Kakasuhan din ng BOC ang shipper at con-conspirators ng paglabag Republic Act of 9147 (Wildlife Resources Conservation and Protection Act) at Republic Act 10863 (Customs Modernization and Tariff Act).
