“Filipino consumers deserve the best services they can get, especially in this new normal where we are all dependent on the Internet. So many rural and remote areas remain unserviced by existing Internet subscription agencies because of the lack of infrastructure,” dagdag pa Ong.

“In this digital age, the Internet has become the portal for communication, learning, and even business. As we shifted to the new normal brought by the COVID-19 pandemic, many relied on the Internet for practically everything — even our students had to learn through online classes. But because there is little competition here in the Philippines, poor services despite high charges are tolerated by the public.
