Pagsuspinde ni Pangulong Duterte sa Child Car Seat Law, pinasalamatan ng isang lider ng Kamara

Ikinalugod ni House Committee on Transportation Chairman Edgar Mary Sarmiento ang pasya ni Pangulo Rodrigo Duterte na ipagpaliban ang pagpapatupad ng Child Car Seat Law.

Ayon kay Sarmiento, nagpapasalamat siya dahil mismong ang Presidente ang nag-utos na huwag munang ipatupad ang kontrobersyal na batas.

Naramdaman aniya ng Pangulo ang sentimyento ng publiko lalo’t nasa gitna ang bansa ng COVID-19 pandemic.

Dagdag na gastos din aniya ang pagbili ng car seats.

Nauna nang umani ng batikos ang Republic Act 11229 o Child Safety in Motor Vehicles Act dahil hindi ito napapanahon at dagdag na pasanin pa.

Samantala, sinabi ni Sarmiento na desidido pa rin ang Kamara na isulong ang isang panukalang batas para sa suspensyon ng RA 11229 sa panahon ng pandemya.
