P45-M halaga ng smuggled na sigarilyo, gamot at ibang produkto, nasabat sa Las Piñas

Nasamsam ng Bureau of Customs (BOC), sa pamamagitan ng Manila International Container Port (MICP), ang iba’t ibang smuggled na produkto sa Alamanza, Las Piñas.

Sa bisa ng Letter of Authority (LOA) na pirmado ni Commissioner Rey Leonardo Guerrero, nagsagawa ng inspeksyon ang Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service (CIIS) ng MICP, katuwang ang Enforcement and Security Service (ESS), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) at National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) sa storage facility.

Dito nadiskubre ang ilang Chinese medicines, cigarettes at counterfeit items tulad ng mga bag at food item.

Tinatayang aabot sa P45 milyon ang halaga ng mga nakumpiskang ilegal na produkto.

Sinabi ng ahensya na magsasagawa pa ng investory sa mga produkto para sa posibleng pagsasampa ng kasong paglabag sa Section 1400 ng Republic Act 10863 o Customs Modernization and Tarrif Act (CMTA).
