Manila Cathedral, inalok bilang vaccination site vs COVID-19

Nakahanda si Manila Archdiocese apostolic administrator Bishop Broderick Pabillo na ipagamit ang Manila Cathedral bilang vaccination site kontra COVID-19.

Ayon kay Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, bunga ito ng kanyang pakikipagpulong kay Bishop Pabillo, araw ng Martes (February 2).

Ayon kay Mayor Isko, payag si Bishop Pabillo na gamitin ang Manila Cathedral bilang vaccination site tuwing weekdays mula 10:00 ng umaga hanggang 3:00 ng hapon.

“We thank Bishop Pabillo and the leaders of the Church for offering us the cathedral as a vaccination site. Napakahalaga nito because we need inoculation spaces,” pahayag ni Mayor Isko.

“Meron na ang Maynila, pero it’s good to have more options so we can ensure the efficiency of the process and the convenience of the people,” dagdag ng aklakde.

Dahil dito, sinabi ni Mayor Isko na magre-redesign ang local na pamahalaan para maisama ang Manila Cathedral sa mga plano upang mas marami ang mabakunahan sa lalong madaling panahon.

Oras aniya na dumating ang bakuna, agad nang matuturukan ang mga medical frontliner sa loob ng tatlong araw at sisimulan ang mass vaccination.

Hinimok naman ni Bishop Pabillo ang publiko na huwag matakot na magpabakuna.

“Sana po ang mga tao ay huwag po matakot sa vaccination, sa vaccine, dahil ito ay makakatulong po sa atin upang makaiwas po at mapalakas ang ating sarili at hindi tayo masyadong ma-infect ng sakit na ito,” pahayag ng Obispo.
