750 proyekto, nakumpleto ng DPWH sa Ilocos region sa taong 2020
Sa kabila ng pagsubok na dulot ng COVID-19 pandemic, natapos ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Regional Office 1 at ng kanilang 10 District Engineering Offices ang mga proyekto sa taong 2020.
Kabilang dito ang 94 road construction and improvement projects, 50 bridge construction and repair/retrofitting, at 65 flood-control projects.
Binati ni DPWH Secretary Mark Villar si Regional Director Ronnel M. Tan, pinuno ng DPWH Regional Office 1.
Nakumpleto nito ang road projects kasama ang national primary, secondary at tertiary roads kung saan 36.77 kilometers ang bagong tayo, rehabilitated, at widened road; 7.97 kilometers ang nabuksang kalsada; 4.61 kilometers ng asphalted road; at 2.95 kilometers ng road drainage na may kabuuang halaga ng P1.97 bilyon.
Sa bridge accomplishment, natapos naman ng DPWH Region 1 ang konstruksyon ng 50 tulay, kabilang ang rehabilitasyon o retrofitting ng 32 iba pa na nagkakahalaga ng P1.28 bilyon.
Nakumpleto rin sa Ilocos Region ang mga proyekto na nasa ilalim ng DPWH 2020 budget kasama ang 403 Local Infrastructure Projects (LIP), 74 local roads, drainage, flood-control projects sa ilalim ng Various Infrastructure including Local Projects (VILP), 10 rain water collector systems, at dalawang national building programs.
Maliban dito, ilang convergence at special support programs na pinondohan ng Department of Agriculture, Department of Education, Department of Tourism (Tourism Road Infrastructure Program-TRIP) at iba pang ahensya ng gobyerno ang naitayo kasama ang 12 farm-to-market roads na nagkakahalaga ng P149.5 milyon; 15 school building projects na nagkakahalaga ng P137.61 milyon; 26 tourism road projects na nagkakahalaga ng P495.9 milyon; dalawang access road projects patungong airport na nagkakahalaga ng P115 milyon; at dalawang access road papuntang seaport na nagkakahalaga ng P118.2 milyon na nasa ilalim ng Kalsada Tungo sa Paliparan, Riles at Daungan (KATUPARAN).
Natapos din ng DPWH Regional Office 1 ang mga sumusunod:
– 14 Roads Leveraging Linkages of Industry and Trade Projects (ROLL-IT) (P404.96 milyon)
– Walong DPWH-Department of National Defense Programs (Tatag Imprastraktura para sa Kapayapaan at Seguridad Program or TIKAS) (P144.98 milyon)
– Dalawang evacuation centers (P72 milyon)
– 21 Disaster-related rehabilitation projects (P545.81 milyon)
– Conversion ng 15 evacuation centers at 15 local buildings bilang COVID-19 health facilities
“These infrastructure projects completed are now directly and indirectly benefiting Ilocanos. With the Build Build Build Program, we hope to complete more projects in the years to come,” pahayag ni Secretary Villar.
