Publiko, binalaan ng FDA ukol sa mga hindi awtorisadong COVID-19 vaccine
Nagbabala ang Food and Drug Administration (FDA) laban sa mga hindi awtorisadong bakuna laban sa COVID-19.
May nakuha kasi ang ahensya na may ilang indibidwal ang nakatanggap ng COVID-19 vaccine.
Batay sa inilabas na pahayag, sinabi ni FDA Director General Eric Domingo na hanggang ngayon, wala pang inilalabas na Emergency Use Authorization sa anumang bakuna kontra sa nakakahawang sakit.
“Without the proper authorization, there is no guarantee on the safety, quality and efficacy of said vaccine as the same has not undergone the required technical evaluation by the FDA,” pahayag pa nito.
Kasunod nito, sinabi ng ahensya na mahigpit na ipinagbabawal ang pag-manufacture, importation, exportation, sale, offering for sale, distribution, transfer, non-consumer use, promotion, advertisement o sponsorship ng anumang hindi awtorisadong bakuna.
Makikipag-ugnayan ang FDA sa mga ahensya ng gobyerno para mabigyan ng karampatang aksyon ang mga lumalabag dito.
“Rest assured that the FDA is observing utmost diligence in the regulation of vaccines. Vaccines will only be approved if there is a reasonable scientific evidence to show that benefit outweighs risk,” ani Domingo.
Sisiguraduhin din aniya ng FDA na tanging ang mga bakuna lamang na papasa sa standards ang magiging available sa publiko.
