IATF, dapat kumilos para hindi makapasok sa bansa ang ‘mutated COVID-19’ – Sen. Revilla

Hinimok ni Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr., ang Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) na kumilos na para mapigilan ang pagpasok sa bansa ng mutated strain ng COVID-19 na nadiskubre sa United Kingdom.

Base sa mga ulat, mas mabilis humawa ang bagong COVID-19 strain na tinawag na B.1.1.7.

Ilang bansa na ang nagpatupad ng restricted travel sa mga magmumula sa UK.

Umabot na sa Asia – Pacific Region ang ‘new strain’ sa pagkumpirma ng Australia ng mga ulat ng mas mabilis na makahawang sakit.

“Napakalaking dagok na ng COVID, at kung kailan nakakakita na tayo ng liwanag, baka panibagong problema na naman ang kaharapin natin,” paliwanag ng senador.

Dagdag pa nito, “It would be unacceptable if the NTF does nothing and simply allow this new strain to spread among our kababayans.”
