Istriktong lockdown posibleng ipatupad muli sa UK; Christmas gatherings pinakakansela

Nagbabala ng istriktong lockdown ang health ministry office ng United Kingdom kasunod ng muling pagtaas ng naitatalang kaso ng COVID-19.

Muling umakyat ang UK sa pang-anim na pwesto sa mga bansa sa mundo na may mataas na kaso ng sakit.

Ito ay makaraang makapagtala ang UK ng mahigit 35,900 na bagong kaso ng COVID-19 sa magdamag.

Sa ngayon ay mahigit 2 million na ang kabuuang kaso ng sakit na naitala sa UK.

Ayon kay Prime Minister Boris Johnson dapat kanselahin ang pagdaraos ng mga aktibidad para sa Pasko at hinihimok ang lahat na manatili lang sa bahay.

Sinabi naman ni Health Secretary Matt Hancock na maaring muling magpatupad ng strict measures sa England.

Ma-aatas aniya ng ‘stay at home’ at pag-ban sa family gatherings.

Ito ay kasunod ng natuklasang bagong strain ng coronavirus na ayon kay Hancock ay “out of control”.

Tinawag din ni Hancock na “deadly serious” ang sitwasyon ngayon sa UK.
