PCG, handa na para sa evacuation at relief ops bunsod ng #VickyPH

Handa na ang lahat ng deployable response groups (DRGs) ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) para sa evacuation at relief operations kasunod ng Tropical Depression Vicky.

Katuwang ang local government units (LGUs) at mga Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO).

Ipinag-utos ni PCG Commandant Admiral George Ursabia Jr. ang district commanders na maglabas ng maritime safety advisories sa shipping operators sa mga ruta na direktang maaapektuhan ng bagyo.

Kabilang dito ang Southern Visayas, Central Visayas, Western Visayas, Eastern Visayas, North Eastern Mindanao, at Northern Mindanao kung saan na-monitor ng PCG Command Center na 1,382 pasahero, drivers, at cargo helpers; 59 vessels; siyam na motorbanca; at 524 rolling cargoes ang na-stranded.

Maliban dito, inabisuhan na rin ng Coast Guard Sub-Stations ang mga mangingisda na sundin ang mga panuntunan.

“Our local fishermen are slowly returning to their normal operations that were significantly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and recent typhoons. Hence, we have to work side by side with them so we may prevent the further loss of lives and properties, without compromising their opportunities to feed their growing families,” ayon kay Ursabia.
