Mga empleyado ng BI, pinagbawalang kumuha ng Tiktok videos habang nakasuot ng uniporme

Ipinagbawal ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) sa kanilang mga empleyado ang pagpo-post ng videos habang suot ng uniporme sa social networking service na Tiktok.

Ayon kay BI Commissioner Jaime Morente, ito ay upang istriktong ipatupad ang regulasyon ng ahensya sa pagsusuot ng uniporme.

“As public servants and supposed model Filipinos, employees must proudly wear their uniform at all times, present a professional image to the public and observe proper decorum and good taste in all their actions while they are on duty,” pahayag nito.

Sinabi nito na makakaapekto ang pagpo-post ng videos sa reputasyon ng ahensya.

Magbibigay aniya ito ng negatibong imahe sa mga tauhan ng BI, lalo na sa frontline immigration officers na nakatalaga sa ports of entry.

Nagbabala pa si Morente na ang pagkukuha ng video habang nasa gitna ng trabaho ay paglabag din sa direktiba sa pagbabawal na paggamit ng cell phone at iba pang electronic gadgets at social media policy ng BI.

“BI personnel must adhere with the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees with respect to their actions online, and to desist from behaviors that would bring disrepute to public service,” nakasaad sa Internal Social Media Policy ng ahensya.

Inilabas ang kautusan matapos kumalat ang ilang video ng airport immigration officers sa Tiktok.

Tinawag ni Morente na “reckless” ang mga video na magpapaliit sa imahe ng BI.
