Miyembro ng Abu Sayyaf Group, nahuli sa Zamboanga Del Norte
Nahuli ng Philippine National Police Anti-Kidnapping Group (PNP-AKG) ang isang miyembro ng Abu Sayyaf Group na sangkot sa kidnapping activities simula taong 2016.
Batay sa ulat ni PNP-AKG Director Brig. Gen. Jonel Estomo kay PNP Chief General Debold Sinas, inihain ang warrant of arrest laban kay Jupuri Dais alyas “Jupuri Nabua” sa bahagi ng Barangay Poblacion sa Sibuco, Zamboanga Del Norte bandang 2:00, Miyerkules ng madaling-araw.
Nauwi sa shootout ang operasyon matapos magpaputok ng baril ang rebelde gamit ang cal. 45 pistol laban sa police team.
Inihain ang warrant of arrest laban kay Dais dahil sa kasong kidnapping at serious illegal detention.
Tinukoy din ng pulisya na miyembro si Dais ng Abu Sayyaf Group sub-unit sa ilalim ni Almujir Yadah.
Dati ring miyembro si Dais ng Moro Islamic Liberation Front bago masangkot sa mga operasyon ng Abu Sayyaf Group.
Sinasabing sangkot si Dais sa serye ng mga kidnapping incident sa Mindanao partikular ang pag-kidnap kay Martina Yee noong 2016, Duterte Couple taong 2017, at Ruda Couple at Javier Family noong 2018.
