Ngayong nakapagdesisyon na ang Korte Suprema, susunod na lamang ang Comelec na mag-isyu ng resibo sa nalalapit na halalan.
Ayon kay Comelec Chairman Andres Bautista, kanilang sisikaping matiyak na maipapatupad ang kautusan na ito ng Kataas-taasang Hukuman.
“Now that the Supreme Court has decided, we submit and basically we will comply and we will try to do our best to still ensure credible elections on May 9,” pahayag ni Bautista.
Gayunman, paliwanag ni Baustista, magiging simple lamang ang format ng mga ipapalabas na resibo ng mga vote counting machines.
Wala itong magiging security feature tulad ng hashcode at precinct number at iba pa.
Tanging makikita lamang aniya sa resibo ay ang mga katagang ‘Republic of the Philippines.
Samantala, magkakaroon naman ng beripikasyon na tinanggap ng VCM ang balota ng isang botante sa pamamagitan ng on-screen verification na lilitaw sa loob ng 15 segundo.
