Pilipinas, makikinabang sa plano ni Biden na muling sumama sa Paris Climate Agreement

Malaking bagay ang suporta ng Estados Unidos sa Green Climate Fund para makamit ang layunin ng Paris Climate Agreement.

Ayon kay Muntinlupa City Rep. Ruffy Biazon, malaki ang epekto ng paghinto ng $3 billion US funding lalo na sa climate change research kasunod ng ginawang pag-atras noon sa kasunduan ni US President Donald Trump.

Kaya naman welcome development anya ang plano ni US President-elect Joe Biden na muling sumama sa Paris Agreement.

Sabi ni Biazon, makikinabang dito ang Pilipinas lalo’t kasama ang bansa sa hinahagupit ng malalakaa na bagyo at hindi pangkaraniwang lagay ng panahon dulot ng climate change.

Ang Paris Agreement ay kasunduan agreement ng United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change kung saan sumang-ayon ang mga signatory sa boluntaryong pagbawas ng greenhouse gas emissions.
