EO para sa price cap sa RT PCR test, nilagdaan ni Pangulong Duterte
Nilagdaan na ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang Executive Order na magtatakda ng price cap para sa RT PCR testing at test kits sa bansa.
Base sa EO Number 118 na nilagdaan, araw ng Miyerkules (November 4), inaatasan ang Department of Health (DOH) na tiyakin ang accesibility at affordability ng PCR testing.
Pinapatulong naman ang Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) sa DOH para sa pagtatakda ng price range sa test kits na ginagamit ng mga ospital, laboratoryo at iba pang health facilities.
Gayunman, hindi naman tinukoy ng EO kung magkano ang price cap sa test kits.
Nakasaad sa EO na maaaring bawian ng lisensya at accredetiation ang hindi susunod sa price range.
Matatandaang una nang umangal ang ilang overseas Filipino workers na pumalo na sa P20,000 ang bayad sa swab test matapos tumigil ang Philippine Red Cross dahil sa hindi pagbabayad sa utang ng PhilHealth.
