Pahayag ng suporta ng nagpakilalang grupo ng mga retired ambassador kay Amb. Mauro walang epekto sa imbestigasyon ng DFA

Tiniyak ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) na hindi makaaapekto sa imbestigasyon ang pahayag ng nagpakilalang grupo ng retired ambassadors na nagbibigay suporta kay Marichu Mauro.

Si Mauro na Ambassador ng Pilipinas sa Brazil ay isinasailalim sa imbestigasyon matapos lumabas ang video ng pananakit nito sa kaniyang kasambahay.

Sinabi din ng DFA na hindi alam ng ahensya ang existence ng “Department of Foreign Affairs Career Officers Corps” at “Retired Ambassadors Association.”

Ang pahayag ng dalawang grupo sa kaso ni Mauro ay hindi sumasalamin sa posisyon ng DFA sa kaso ng opisyal.

“The Department stands by its resolve to respond to the matter in accordance with, and to the fullest extent of the law,” ayon pa sa DFA.
