P60M na halaga ng smuggled na sigarilyo nakumpiska ng BOC sa Maynila

Nakumpiska ng mga tauhan ng Bureau of Customs (BOC) ang aabot sa P60 million na halaga ng smuggled na sigarilyo sa Manila International Container Port (MICP).

Ang naturang mga kargamento ay inangkat ng “OCEAN WORLD ENTERPRISES” at idineklarang naglalaman ng mga karton, furnitures at bag.

Nang isailalim sa beripikasyon, natuklasan na ang laman nito ay 500 kaha at 1,198 na kahon ng smuggled cigarettes galing China.

Mahaharap sa paglabag sa section 1113 ng Republic Act (RA) No. 10863 o Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA) ang nag-angkat ng produkto.
