Pagpapairal ng forced leave sa mga empleyado ngayong panahon ng pandemya pinalawig ng hanggang isang taon

Pinalawig sa loob ng isang taon ang pagpapatupad ng forced leave sa mga manggagawa ngayong mayroong pandemic ng COVID-19.

Mula sa dating hanggang anim na buwan lamang ay pinahaba ng isang taon ang pagpapatupad ng forced leave sa mga manggagawa.

Naglabas ng Department Order si Labor and Employment (DOLE) Sec. Silvestre Bello III na nagpapalawig sa pagpapatupad ng forced leave ng dagdag na anim na buwan pa.

Sa Department Order No. 215-2020 na may petsang Oct. 23 sinabi ni Bello na ang mga empleyado ay hindi dapat mawala sa trabaho sakaling sila ay mkakakuha ng alternative employment habang sila ay naka-forced leave.

Kung maapektuhan ng retrenchment ang apektadong empleyado ay dapat tumanggap pa din ng separation pay prescribed by the Labor Code, company policies or collective bargaining agreement, whichever is higher, he said.
