Pamunuan ng Fabella Hospital humingi ng tulong sa Red Cross para sa swab test ng 180 nilang healthcare staff

Humingi ng tulong sa Philippine Red Cross si Dr. Esmeraldo Ilem ang Medical Center Chief ng Dr. Jose Fabella Memorial Hospital.

Ito ay para agad na maisailalim sa swab test ang 180 healthcare staff makaraang pitong resident doctors ng ospital ang mag-positibo sa COVID-19.

Ayon kay Red Cross Chairman Richard Gordon, mapipilitang tumigil sa operasyon ang ospital kapag hindi agad naisailalim sa swab test ang mga staff.

Tiniyak naman ni Gordon na agad isasagawa ng Red Cross ang swab test sa mga staff ng Fabella Hospital.

At para sa humanitarian purposes, hindi sila sisingilin ng Red Cross.

“We said it before and we will say it again–WE MUST PROTECT OUR FRONTLINERS. These healthcare workers are at the forefront since day 1 and have worked nonstop to deliver best and quality care. They are very important. We will undertake the testing,” ayon kay Gordon.

Sinabi ni Gordon na kinikilala at pinahahalagahan ng Philippine Red Cross bilang humanitarian organization ang mga healthcare workers at frontliners.

Sa katunayan, umabot na aniya sa 34,093 na healthcare workers sa 15 DOH hospitals sa buong bansa ang regular na naisasailalim sa swab test ng Red Cross.
