Ayon sa Phivolcs, tumama ang episentro ng lindol sa layong 141 kilometers Southeast ng Sarangani dakong 2:16 ng hapon.
Tectonic ang origin nito at 13 kilometro ang lalim.
Gayunman, sinabi ng Phivolcs na walang napaulat na pinsala sa Sarangani at mga karatig-bayan.
Wala ring inaasahang aftershocks matapos ang pagyanig.
