P180M na halaga ng mga smuggled na produkto nakumpiska sa Port of Cebu
Umabot sa P180 million ang halaga ng mga nakumpiskang smuggled na produkto sa Port of Cebu.
Ayon sa Bureau of Customs (BOC), ang mga nakumpiskang produkto ay pawang undeclared, misdeclared, at undervalued na kargamento.
Kabilang sa mga nakumpiska ay mga containers na naglalaman ng sigarilyo, used clothing at plastic boats.
Ayon sa BOC, ang halaga ng September apprehensions sa Port of Cebu ay mas mataas kumpara sa P36 million na halaga noong buwan ng Agosto.
Sinabi ni Port of Cebu District Collector Charlito Martin R. Mendoza na resulta ito ng pinaigting na anti-smuggling campaign ng BOC gamit ang x-ray technology.
